Part of those essays in middle school required that the main character had to have a flaw at the beginning of the story and learn a lesson by the end. However, Peter is not the main character. Looking around at some reviews of “Peter Pan” some other people seem to be a bit confused as well. I liked “Peter Pan” just as much then as I do now, and I had a really hard time figuring out who the main character is when I started looking at the book more critically. Back in middle school, the only kind of book papers we wrote were about the main character’s journey.
